- The tune seems to be a lot more dramatic and serious, there is still a catchy beat to it that is easily recognisable by the audience.
- Different tunes are used for parts of the radio show (e.g. the news, weather and general talk from within the studio), each of the tunes still follow the same conventions in terms of sound.
- The voice introducing what part of the radio is about to be played, is introduced at the beginning of the jingle
- Even though this radio is broadcasted from Geneva, Switzerland, i wanted to see if their conventions of radio shared any similarities with British radio stations.
- From listening to their jingles and radio music, i have found that they do in fact have many similarities, the catchy tune with the voice introducing the station
- It was interesting for me to hear this as even though it is a Rock station in Switzerland, you would not be able to tell the difference if it was played in Britain
- Magic is a well-known radio station broadcasting in the UK, the tune changes slightly for each different show e.g. the morning show. The voice of the radio station introduction stays the same in terms of the tune and the sound of it
- The music in the back ground is upbeat and happy, this to me resembles to the listeners that it is light and easy to listen to, when we compare this to BBC which is dramatic music, for me says that the BBC will be a lot more serious and may contain more news stories.
This is the website that i used in order to listen to a range of jingles.
