By the end of my preliminary task I had learnt many new techniques and seen how different technology works. For example I had to use a microphone to record my radio show, once I had recorded it I had to cut and edit different parts of the recording to make it sound more realistic. I also learned how to input different noises and sounds onto the radio show recording, this was done using sound cloud. By doing the preliminary task I was able to see how i could make my radio show seem as real as possible, I experimented with all different techniques and sounds in my preliminary task, and i now know what to include and what not to include for my radio show.
Pictures and information of the things that I have learnt:
- this is an image of the software that i used to edit my recording, it is called adobe audition 1.5, it is very good at enabling me to cut out parts that i do not like, or do not sound good.
- when I recorded it the microphone had a muzzle over the top of it, this is so that it does not pick up too many sounds around it, in real recording studios they use sound proofed rooms this is so that there is no echo and so that no surrounding noises are picked up, this gives the impression of the real radio show.
