The 5W's

The 5 W's are an important parts of information that the readers, viewers and listeners are all expecting to find in a news story. The 5W's are used for structure and so that the information that is being shared is not missing any key information, this will also answer a number of questions that the audience may have about the news story. This is also so that the presenters can communicate with the audience in a correct and understanding way.
The 5W's are WHAT, WHEN, WHO, WHY AND WHERE

In the next part of my post I will be showing examples of the 5W's from a news post:
This is one of the news story that i will be using:

WHO

WHAT

WHEN

WHY

WHERE

Another example of a news story:
WHO

WHAT

WHEN

WHERE

WHY

By looking at these news stories it has shown me that the 5Ws are always shown very early in the news story, this has now enabled me to do the same thing when it comes to my news story.
