- Immediacy- the story is breaking news, they are reporting on it relatively soon after it happened
- Familiarity- it is close to us because is happened in England
- Surprise- we did not expect this to happen
- Continuity- it will be part of an ongoing story as there is an investigation being done into why the crash happened
- Negativity- it is negative as a whole family have died
- Personalisation- it is a human interest story, this is because we can relate to the loss of the whole family, and the children that died is very tragic
